To All GSOFamilies Members and Supporters:
GSOFamilies is a local community of families. As a local mom, I founded the group in May 2012 to provide a comprehensive compilation of Greensboro area family-friendly activities and businesses. The group has grown to almost 1800 fans on Facebook, about 300 members on Meetup, and over 600 followers on Twitter. We have a very active Facebook group with over 1600 members (one sub group has almost 3500 members!), and several smaller subgroups for specific demographics, such as single parents, school clothing swaps, fitness, and more. Our Pinterest page has about 600 followers, and our newly launched Instagram page has just shy of 400 followers.
At this time, the cost of running and maintaining just the technical aspects of GSOFamilies through all the growth is overwhelming, and the GSOFamilies group is hosting an online auction to help offset these costs. GSOFamilies is completely free to join, and hundreds of local families turn to our community when seeking local businesses to patronize. Our members share personal reviews and opinions, as well as anecdotes for raising children in the Greensboro area, and have come together into a well-respected, welcoming, and thriving community.
We are asking for donations of items, services, or experiences for our online auction. All donors will receive publicity via the GSOFamilies webpage and social media leading up to and during the auction, as well as an official public thank you. The auction will be held online on the GSOFamilies site from August 17 - August 23, 2015. The funds raised from the items you donate will directly benefit GSOFamilies and our members. Simply complete the form below.
With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to continue to support local Greensboro families and provide a free, often utilized, and very necessary resource for local parents and children. To learn more about GSOFamilies, we invite you visit our website at www.GSOFamilies.com.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and we look forward to your continued support.
